Environmental Policy

We, as River View Touring Park, recognise our obligation to comply with all relevant environmental legislation. We further wish to develop the park, our surrounding countryside and woods for the benefit of the natural habitat.

Our main environmental impact is through use of electricity, water, generation of household waste and sewage. A further indirect impact is the use of fuel by our visitors, particularly while towing caravans. We recognise these impacts and through our commitment to pollution prevention, will demonstrate continual environmental improvements by:

• Minimise energy consumption wherever possible and plant trees and bulbs to reduce impact on CO₂ emissions.
• Investigate ways to reduce water consumption.
• Provide recycling facilities and encourage all visitors to segregate their refuse.
• Improve the water quality exiting our waste water treatment facility.
• Pursue permission to allow caravans to be stored on site to reduce car emissions.
• Train and continually update staff in environmental issues.
• Inform our visitors of our efforts to encourage them to be more environmentally aware.

The policy will be subject to annual review, communicated to all staff and made available to all interested parties.
