Local Food and Drink
If you travel a little further there are a wealth of local pubs, restaurants and hotels that cater for all tastes and pocket depths. We are always happy to describe the options and provide directions. While you are visiting the many attraction the area has to offer take time out and call into Carmarthen and visit the market selling local ham (as seen on Rick Stein’s Food Hero programme) and other local produce including bread, Welsh cheeses, chutneys and much more. Several supermarkets are only a short drive away, but why not support the local economy and eat locally produced food. Local produce can be bought from many of the independent shops and markets including Farmers Markets, (see list below) Farmers Markets
Cwmcerrig Farm Shop and Grill is owned by a local farmer and his family and was opened in March 2009. It has won many awards for its produce and service. Over 80% of its produce are from Wales. The farm shop has a very popular grill where you can have your breakfast, lunch or on Friday & Saturday evening you can have evening meals. |
