Reviews of River View Touring Park
David BellamyWow what a busy year you have had and congratulations on yet another gold award. We look forward to hearing how your underfloor heating is received. As you can see from the comments below your visitors love you. Guest CommentsKath, As we have arrived safely back home I felt that I must write you this little note to say thank you for your kindness in providing us with such a good level pitch so close to the amenities block. Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our stay with you this week end - the layout of the site and the setting is lovely - we will be back!! Just like to say we stayed at the River View Touring Park and really like what we see. The facilities were brilliant and environmentally friendly. Will happily recommend this place to friends. Having been caravanners since 1971. Betty & I were reluctant to give up our way of life due to family commitments. We cast our net within a radius of 20 miles and met the new owners, Keith & Kath in 2003, who made us really welcome. Through their hard work and improvements the site today is beautiful. We recommend River View Touring Park to all. When you've been you will return but leave space for us. Thank you so much for a lovely holiday, the site is beautiful and we will cetainly be back, we have never been welcomed anywhere before, the way we were at River View, special thanks to Carol and Eric nothing was a trouble to them, they are the perfect wardens. Just a quick note to say many thanks to you both for making us all so welcome last week. We have only been to one other campsite so welcoming. - Mike & Val Warm welcome and very hospitable hosts. Weather a bonus – we’ll be back! Many thanks. - Chris & Heather Very lovely site. Good for visiting area. Very clean & well run family site. – Carol & Phil Thank you for the welcome you gave us on the weekend. We had a wonderful break and will be back very soon. - Andrew & Rachel Our first visit – lovely quiet park – very welcoming with bats that fly from the house in the evening The park is an idyllic spot with an abundance of wildlife and flowers. The owners are working hard to improve the site... Dear Keith & Kath,
Motorcaravan Motorhome Monthly – March 2006It's an Ill WindI had occasion to get away recently but did not wish to travel too far. I thought the Caravan Club site at Pembrey would be ideal for a few nights and telephoned them to say that I would like to arrive on Friday afternoon. I as very surprised to find that they were full, with a rally booked in.I scoured both the club site directories and found a site near the end of the M4, which sounded OK, and it had showers. I telephoned, was immediately captivated by the charming reception and booked for the weekend. This site, River View Touring Park, The Dingle, Llanedi, is about a mile from the services at the western end of the M4 and turned out to be a gem. Not only was it ideally placed for anyone wanting to visit the Gower, west Wales, or catch a ferry to Ireland, it was also a super site in a sheltered valley facing south. Contrary to some readers of your splendid magazine, I do not look to earn brownie points fro being uncomfortable! The pitches were near enough level but the great selling point for me was the unbelievable amenity block. The male section had three hand-basins with razor points, three toilets, two showers and urinals with additional hand-basin. I imagine the ‘ladies’ was similar with the obvious exception. In addition, there are separate facilities for the disabled and family ablution. The icing on the cake was that it had under-floor heating. A real bonus as it was minus one of the Sunday morning! There was also a shop selling all the basics you would require. The cost, including electric was £10 for two in November, rising to £14 in July and August. There are major developments going on to increase the site onto a second level to accommodate up to 60 units. Good luck to Keith & Kath Brasnett for a site with such high standards. Richard J.
